What is Turmeric?

It was once also used as a dye, particularly in making saris and Buddhist robes. Today, turmeric is used worldwide for its naturally occurring antioxidant activity.**

The rhizomes of turmeric naturally contain a rich supply of curcuminoids, which are plant-based antioxidants. The most notable of these nutrients is curcumin, which promotes antioxidant activity in the body, supporting overall health while helping to fight off cell-damaging free radicals that can lead to premature signs of aging.**
